Welcome to the fourth issue of rumble

The recent death of Johnny Ramone has me in a musical funk from which I may never recover. The Ramones were a seminal band who helped shape American Rock Music with a slashing, high energy style that was often imitated but never improved upon. Long Live Johnny, Long Live The Ramones. How about a listen? You know you wanna. Here's a link to one of their best, Loudmouth.

We've finally got a basic e-book version of the first issue uploaded. Feel free to download a copy. You can find a link to it on the index page and we'll be adding it to the links page as well. We hope to have the other issues completed before too long.

This issue features a nice selection of short fiction, poetry, and artwork for you. We've had several submissions from people new to rumble, and if your story didn't make it we hope you'll keep submitting. We really do take a lot of time to decide on a line-up for each issue. Unlike other e-zines, if we don't have what we consider a good issue to put out there we probably won't publish. That hasn't happened yet and hopefully it never will, but merely having content will never be good enough for us.

A note to prospective submitters: please do not submit something that has already been published in another e-zine. We reserve exclusive publishing rights for the duration of the issue's run. Thank you very much and please enjoy your doughnuts.

On a related note, we'd like to ask those writers who submit to rumble to please gather as many links as possible that you would like to appear in your bio. While we don't mind hunting down your links, it is very time consuming and we would like to cut down on some of that time if possible. We want your bio to be a showcase for you and this will really help us out. Thanks in advance!

Finally, we'd like to clue you in to the fact that two of our published authors, Miriam Kotzin and Bill Turner, have started a website to promote their collaborative work. You can find that website here. Why not stop by and visit? It won't cost you a dime.
