Peter Parker learned his lesson the hard way: With great power comes great responsibility. We have very little power but we will always use it to bring you the best in micro-fiction.

Craig is getting on his high horse for a moment to urge all registered voters in the United States to vote for Senator John Kerry. It is difficult for me to understand how a president who has seemingly paid so little attention to the welfare of the citizens under his protection still has the support of almost half of the voters in this country. His supporters, I believe, have for the most part absolutely refused to spend even a little of their precious time to investigate what he has actually done while in office. At the very least the man has utterly failed to use the power of his office responsibly.

New reports out of Iraq indicate there may be as many as 100,000 civilian deaths since the start of the war.

You may notice the bio page looks a little sparse this month. Dorothee Lang has contributed Yellow Water Roses and a a photograph while Luis C. Berriozabal has contributed The Absent Husband II and a poem called Economics. Congratulations to both authors for their double publication in the current issue.

More happy news: Story Editor Jeff Callico has a new baby daughter!

Fans of The New Absurdist website, which has been offline for several months, should know that The Temporary Absurdist blog is now online. It's basically a place where TNA regulars can go to post stories, comment on stories, and hang out at the message board until TNA goes back online (hopefully soon).
